A calmer,
more human
Mei.

The idea

Not another chatbot.
A companion that stays.

01

On-device intelligence

Mei runs a small language model directly on your iPhone. Conversations never travel across a network. There is no server that could be breached, subpoenaed, or sold.

02

Memory that carries over

Mei quietly keeps track of the details you share — routines, preferences, the things you care about — so the next conversation doesn't start from zero.

03

Voice, held like a conversation

Press once and talk. Mei hears you the way a person does, waits for the natural pause, and answers in a voice you can listen to with your phone in your pocket.

04

A quiet assistant

Optional access to Calendar, Reminders, and a private meal log lets Mei actually do things for you — add, check, recall — without leaving the device.

In practice

Things Mei does well.

Short list of everyday moments. Nothing here needs a server, an account, or a subscription to a third-party model.

  1. 01
Chat or speak — about whatever’s on your mind. Mei follows, rather than interviews.
  2. 02
Add reminders and events — in your own words. "Remind me to call my sister on Sunday morning" — done.
  3. 03
Keep a private journal — of notes, thoughts, and small wins. Mei can pull from them when you ask.
  4. 04
Log meals naturally — without tapping through a database. Talk, and it’s written down.
  5. 05
Pick up days later — from exactly where you left off. Mei remembers the thread.
Privacy
No servers for your conversations,
no accounts, no ads, no sharing —
and no way for us to read what you said.

What stays on your phone, stays on your phone. If you delete the app, everything Mei knew about you disappears with it. The only thing that ever leaves the device is an anonymised crash report when Mei itself crashes — never the contents of a conversation.
